Dancing ShoesDon’t you just love it when two of your favourite brands get together?  Adidas are sportswear royalty and the Hacienda is the most famous nightclub in the world ever!  More importantly from a design point of view, both brands have / had a reputation for trend setting, and exciting contemporary styles.

Y-3 is an Adidas design offshoot, with these shoes being the work of Factory graphic designer Peter Saville, Hac interior designer Ben Kelly and New Order’s Peter Hook. They’re sold in a six-sided, maple-bottomed box (reflecting the Hacienda’s dancefloor) and wrapped in four sheets of tissue paper – two featuring Kevin Cummins’ photography of the club, one with original design sketches of the interior and a fourth featuring the building today. Wow!

The shoe, originally priced at £345, was sold exclusively in the Y-3 Manchester store for two weeks before it went on sale in Y-3’s Shop-in-Shop at Selfridges London – strictly limited to just 250 pairs.

Just what exactly do you think is the most effective weblog application to use for an individual with a quite confined know-how of technologies?
