E-commerce (the buying and selling of goods and services over the Internet) is going to play an increasingly important role in the future business life of this country, and worldwide. Fact! Or, at least, that is what we think!

Selling products and services online can have major advantages for businesses, leading to increased profitability and lower costs.

But, you don’t have to take our word for it – this is what the Office for National Statistics (ONS) has to say on the subject- we couldn’t have put it better ourselves!

“E-Commerce is likely to have a huge impact on the way we do business. It has the potential to lead to dramatic growth in trade, increase markets, improve efficiency and effectiveness and transform business processes”

The ONS is the executive office of the UK Statistical Authority, a branch of government that reports directly to Parliament.

Rich Media

Rich media is a general term for the advanced technologies used in modern websites and online adverts, such as flash animation, streaming video, applets that allow user interaction, and special effects.

The interactive nature is specifically popular and used for reaching and engaging consumers in banner adverts.

Expandable banner ads are widely accepted as the most popular rich media advertising format. They start with a standard size banner ad, usually built in Flash, and expand on mouse over to reveal any number of larger panels. Panels can contain interactive Flash elements and video.

Branding
We like to think that we know a little about branding, and building brand equity. A lot of what we do is all about re-enforcing an existing brand online, but we also love to create brands from scratch. Check out some of our work in the branding section of the portfolio.

Stand-alone presentations / Offline websites
Corporate slide-shows are dead, and if they aren’t, they should be. The same skills and techniques we use when designing and developing websites can now be used to create offline sites and applications that are either stored directly on a computer or DVD. We have created a number of stand-alone applications that utilise rich media (animation, audio and video) to help get the message across during a presentation, pitch or event.

Large Screen Advertising
Over the last few years the rapid development of Light Emitting Diode (LED) technology has allowed the use of digital media to be displayed on indoor and outdoor screens. From small compact units to giant city centre screens, they can be updated quickly, allowing for up to the minute news and advertisements to be seen even in direct sunlight.

Digital adverts allow a much greater amount of information to be seen, and when used properly are undoubtedly the future of large scale advertising.
